About Myanmar

Myanmar is one of the most interesting and colorful independent country in Asia and largest country in south Asia. The people are of Tibeto-Mongolian stock, with brown cheerful faces; they dress in bright and vivid clothes. They are friendly, hospitable to visitors and generous in spirit.

Myanmar is located in the south-east Asia peninsular and it is flanked by five neighboring states: Bangladesh, India, China, Laos and Thailand. Geographically being situated between India in the west, Tibet in the north and China in the east where the world highest mountains are situated and also flanked by the Bay of Bengal in the south and southwest, the climate varies from semitropical to Alpine.

Myanmar is a land of vast expanses of rice fields, and pristine teak forests stretch up the hills with rich flora and fauna. Myanmar is also known as the land of Pagodas, where the dominant feature of any scene is the golden pagoda.

Being rich in attractions, with its beautiful and high snow-capped mountains, coastal resorts, number of beautiful Islands, plenty of historical and religious monuments and hospitable people, Myanmar is growing in popularity with tourists and is ideal for vacationing. The major tourist destinations in Myanmar are Yangon, Mandalay, Bagan, Inle, Many other places in various parts of Myanmar worth visiting include: .

Burma has one of the lowest tourist crime rates in the world, so travelers can relax in the knowledge that their trip will be untroubled.
