Myanmar Eco Tourism Destination
Chattung Wildlife Sanctuary
 Chattung Wildlife Sanctuary located between Kawlin Township
and Kantbalu Township in Sagaing Division, with the area of
(104) square-miles. It can be reached there either by train:
Yangon-Mandalay-Chatting (502 miles) or by car:
Yangon-Mandalay-Mandalay-Shwebo-Chatting (657 miles).
The visitors, the nature-lovers can observe the natural habituts
of golden deer there. The visitors can stay over-night at (3)
camps: Sanmyaung camp, Kim Camp and Takhunting camp.
In sanmyaung camp, there is a natural historical museum together
with the background history of Chatting museum as well as the
exhibition of the extinct and living animals.
While trekking, the visitors can see the beautiful scenary of
landscaping, Thapahanseik tam, water-shed areas through the
view-point of Mt. Saatthawyayshin and from foot-path.
In Kim camp, while walking through the forest-paths, Intaing
eco-system, shrubs and grasses, approximate (301) species of
trees, (2ronze Lake), variety of water-birds, and rarious
species of fresh-water fishes can be studied while taking the
boat-ride.
Thus, Chatting Wildlife Sanctuary with many animals comes
into existence as an eco-tourism site.
There is a natural historical museum (In San Myaung camp)
together with the background history of Chatting museum as well
as the exhibition of the extinct, and living animals, sample
specimen, natural and herbal plants.
While hiking, one can see the beautiful scenery of landscaping,
Thaphanseik tam, water-shed ares through the view –point of
Mt.Satthawyashin and foot-path.
While walking through the forest-paths, about (304) species
of trees, (224) bird-species, (57) species of butterflies, and
(21) species of mammals can be found there.
In Takhuntaing camp, the shallow-water system in (1200) acre
Kyay Inn (Bronze Lake) variety of water-birds, and various
species of fresh-water fishes can be done while taking the
boat-ride.
Thus Chatting Wildlife Sanctuary with many animals comes into
existence as an eco-tourism site.
