Yangon Golf Club
Pun Hlaing Golf ClubThe finest golf course in Myanmar is established in 2000
designed by Gary Player. Its greens are the best including
18-hole. YCDC Golf ClubIt is built by Yangon City Development Council (YCDC) and
provided by some facilities: fine restaurant, swimming pool,
billiard & snooker and other modern accessibility. It is the
second best golf club with 36-hole because it is compounded of
two golf clubs in a place. One of the golf courses there, Ngwe
Thawdar (The Silver) course was established in 1994. It has
wider fairways and fairly large green suitable to players with
the aid of modern facility. Yedagun Taung Golf ClubIt was recently built in the valley of the northern hills in
1990. It is a challenging spot for players owing to its long and
narrow fairway, small but quick running greens. It shows that
playing golf is not an easy sport but a good exercise for the
movement of the whole body. As “The longer belt, the shorter
life”, it might have been difficult for player with big stomach. Bagan Golf ClubIt has come to existence in 1990. Amidst of 11th century old
ruins, it is an oasis for players in the dry zone, and the
compare and contrast of the past and the present. Looking back
to 11th century, there might have been playing Guli sport,
Myanmar Polo, in this region. Thus, although golf is not as
Myanmar’s origin, Guli sport dared to compare to Polo sport as
contemporary of that time. Ayetharyar Golf ClubIt is established in 1995 amidst the Shan Plateau. The course has a challenging per 72 with 7380 yards with perfect cut of Bhamuda grass with rather large greens. |
