Indawgyi Lake Wildlife Sanctuary

Indawgyi Lake Wildlife Sanctuary, one of ASEAN heritage sites is located in Moenyin Township, Kachin State, northern part of Myanmar. It is the largest Lake in Myanmar. It composes (16) miles in length and (6) miles in width and its area of Indawgyi Sanctuary is (300) square-miles (777 km).
Visitors can observe the biggest lake in South East Asia and its natural beauty as well as the biggest wetland ecosystem. The lake is flown by (18) beautiful and croaked rivers and composed well live water. For the bird-watching, it can study various specious of birds, water-birds of the lake rare cranes, pelicans, thousands of water- ducks, swans, and so forth, and migratory birds as well as endangered species.
Nevertheless, one can observe various species of fishes inhabiting by here and there, and varies species of growing sea-weeds and marine-plants,
In addition, one can relax after gagging at the beauty of Indawgyi Lake over panoramic view and proceed to the near by mountain .One can see the pleasant climate of Indawgyi for oneself, it the open seasons like winter and summer.
