Myanmar classic (Myanmar ethnic minorities of Shan State tour)

Yangon - Kyingtong - Inle - Taunggyi - Pindaya - Kalaw - Yangon
Day 1. Yangon (Arrival)

Arrive at Yangon International Airport, pick up by our company representative. After check in hotel, take your time free. Upon to your arrival time at Yangon, you can make half day sightseeing in the town or take a rest at your hotel to refresh for your great tip in Myanmar. Dinner and one night stay at a hotel in Yangon will serve you pleasure.
 

Day 2 Yangon

In the morning, visit Shwedagon Pagoda, over 2500-year-old gigantic golden stupa on the highest hill in Yangon. It is the most popular and holy place of the Buddhist people and land mark of Myanmar. After that, observe morning fish market and colorful Thirimingalar Market, the biggest vegetable market in Myanmar. See many different kinds of fish and vegetable from all over the country. On the way to downtown, visit historic Botahtaung pagoda, Yangon river site and Strand Hotel, the earliest 5star hotel in Myanmar and one of the most famous historic colonial buildings in Asia. Visit 2000-year old Sule pagoda and some beautiful colonial buildings in the town. In the afternoon, proceed to Chaukhtautgyi Buddha image, the biggest reclining image in Yangon and Ngahtatgyi sitting Buddha image. In the evening, stroll around the town and visit China-town to see real life of the people in an ancient city, Yangon.
 

Day 3. Yangon - Kyaingtongg

In the morning, we will fly to Kyingtong to explore the authentic cultural of colorful ethnic groups in Eastern Shan State. Kyaingtone is an ideal place to see the different highland people in their colorful traditional costumes. After check in hotel in Kyingtong, lunch at a restaurant and visit Mahamyatmuni Buddha Image and Wat Jom Kham Shan monastery in the downtown. In the evening, we can visit some Akha villages near by town if time permit. We will have dinner at a restaurant and overnight stay at a hotel in Kyaingtong.
 

Day 4. Kyaingtong

After breakfast, we visit morning central market to observe the colorful tribes who come and sell their home products, green vegetables, many different fruits and etc. Their foods, snacks and noodle soup are very delicious and recommended to try it. After that, we will visit Ho Chin Villages to see colorful Akha and Lahu tribes on the hills. All of them are animists and live on the hillside. So, we will leave our car and trek to their villages to see the ways of life of them and visit some of their traditional houses. In the evening, we return back to hotel and overnight stay at a hotel in Kyaingtong.
 

Day 5. Kyaingtone

At the beginning, proceed to morning water-buffalo market and explore to Pin Tauk villages of Akha and Enn tribes. We trek along the small trail in the lush forest hill and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Shan Mountain ranges. Most of them are animists and always in their black traditional costumes. We visit their traditional houses and enjoy our time with highland people. On the way back, we will make a short visit to Wan Pauk village to see Palaung tribe in their read costumes with silver ring on their bodies. Dinner and overnight stay in Kyaingtone will be in our memories.
 

Day 6. Kyaingtone

In the morning, we have a pleasant feeling of scenic driving to discover some ancient Loi villages. After two hour driving, we will leave our car on the highway and start trekking to Wa Nyat and Wa San villages. They live separately on their own ethos. In their villages, all relative people are living in their long huts together as a unique community. Mostly six or seven families live together. All of these animist hunters depend on the forests for their life. You will see authentic cultural of Loi tribes in these ancient villages. We will make a short sightseeing at some more villages of the other mountain tribes on the way back to hotel. In the evening, you should take free time to be easy for dinner and overnight stay a hotel in Kyaingtone.


Day 7. Kyaingtone - Inle

In the morning, our vacation starts seeing busy colorful central market again to observe the way of life of the highland tribes and their handmade colorful wares and local products. Kyaingtone looks like the central trading town of eastern Shan State borders with China, Thailand and Lao in the east. In the afternoon, take a flight to Heho airport and drive to Inke Lake.


 

Day 8. Inle Lake

Morning take a boat trip to discover lifestyle of the Inthar people who live in the highest lake of the country, Inle lake, which is the second largest lake and lies among the hazy blue mountain of the Shan mountain range. Leg rolling fisher men, floating tomato gardens, weaving and silver smith villages are unique attraction of the lake. We will visit Phaungdaw Oo pagoda for its 11th century style five golden Buddha images and an old Shan lacquer ware Buddha images museum at Jumping Cat Monastery in the day time. On the way back to hotel, we enjoy the beautiful sunset on boat. The scenery of the beautiful sunset on the shoulder of hazy blue mountain range behind the lake will feel you as in paradise.

 

Day 9. Inle, Indein

In the morning, we visit colorful morning five-day market to see colorful Shan tribes by having a scenic boat driving through floating vegetable islands and ethnic villages. Boat excursion among the villages will take you back to the time of one century ago. On the way to Indein, we enjoy upstream driving through small locks of the narrow stream surrounded by greed bamboo forest and paddy fields. In Indein, we walk in the ruined pagodas complex to explore the striking old Buddha images in and out of the ruined temples. It looks like a hiding small ancient Bagan for over one thousand small ruined stupas of 11th century. It will be free and easy time in the peaceful evening.

 

Day 10. Inle –Pindaya

After breakfast at hotel, we enjoy the scenic driving to Pindaya Cave, a famous line stone cave with over 3000 Buddha images made of different metals in different purposes. It is saturated on a rocky cliff of forest mountain as a magic place. It was hidden behind the bushes on the side of a forest mountain for a long time and found in 1981. Visiting in the cave is like entering marvelous ancient Buddha Image museum of Shan tribes. Bamboo umbrella and paper factories are the idea places for tourists in Pindaya. In the evening, stroll around the Pindaya Lake and village. Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Pindaya.

 

Day 11. Pindaya – Kalaw

We will visit morning colorful morning market and drive to Kalaw. On the way, we will take our times to enjoy our photography and see colorful vegetable plantations on the mountain range. Arrive at Kalaw and we visit popular lacquer ware Buddha image at a monastery and made a short trekking trip to a hill village. In the evening, take a rest at the famous British hill station, Kalaw, by strolling among the ancient colonial monuments. We will heave dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in Kalaw.

 

Day 12. Kalaw – Yangon

After leisure morning at Kalaw, proceed to airport for your flight to Yangon. Arrive at Yangon and check in hotel. In your private time, take a rest for your refreshment or visit some rest sights in Yangon.


 

 

 

 

Day 13. Yangon

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Yangon International Airport for your departure flight.

 

Day 14.Yangon (Departure)

After leisure morning, we will pick you up at your hotel to Yangon International Airport for your onward departure flight. It will be the end of your great experience on the wonderful trip with Travel Expert.
