Popa Mountain Park

Popa Mountain Park is located in Kyawpadaung Township, Myinchan district, Mandalay Division. The area is 49.63 square miles. It is approximately 37 miles far from Bagan/Nyaung Oo and takes about one hour drive.
If one intends to stay night-stop in Mt.Popa, there is a luxury hotel.
Mt. Popa an extant volcano which is situated over 5000 feet above sea-level.
Wandering trip in Popa can be performed and beautiful scenery can be seen. Due to covering many change and filled with various plant and tree soecies, different species of herbals, orchids, various floral species. Moreover, one can go to other up-hill village passing over the guest-houses or Yayngew camp, seema village, Kyaukpone village and Nyaunggyaing village, and proceed to Horse-riding camp, sandal-wood plantation, sporitor Nat shrine, U Germany’s cave, Yaysu, and Pyinkadoe (iron wood) camp by hiking.
Various species of birds of butterflies can be found in Popa Mountain Park so can be the golden deer kept in fence for indigenous knowledge, one can study the herbal park with over (345) species of herbal plants.
After climbing up the top of the Mt. Popa, stupas, historical artifacts and nat shrines can be observed.
While the visitors in habit of horse-riding can enjoy it and be taking rest, they can also join playing golf in the Popa Golf Course. Being an extinct and old volcano, geological research can be lone.
Popa Mountain Park and its envious, the land of Popa will make every visitor relax with its valuable attractions.
